Isaiah 27:9-11

⁹ Therefore through this, Jacob’s iniquity will be ^(A)atoned for;
And this will be the whole fruit of the ^(B)turning away of his sin:
When he makes all the ^(C)altar stones like pulverized chalk stones,
When ^[a]Asherim and incense altars will not stand.
¹⁰ For the fortified city is ^(D)isolated,
A ^[b]haunt ^[c]forlorn and forsaken like the desert;
^(E)There the calf will graze,
And there it will lie down and ^[d]feed on its twigs.
¹¹ When its ^(F)limbs are dry, they are broken off;
Women come and light a fire with them,
For they are not a people of ^(G)discernment,
Therefore ^(H)their Maker ^(I)will not have compassion on them.
And their Creator will not be gracious to them.
